As Freire (2004) states, “Liberation is a praxis: the action and reflection of men and women upon their world in order to transform it” (p. 79). The reciprocal nature of teaching and learning combined with the authentic engagement of those in the classroom is my aim during the teaching and learning exchange. Every learner brings a wealth of wisdom, such as academic, practice, and practical knowledge, into the room.
